Today is the last day this week to read a passage and tell what author's purpose it is. Have fun and remember to ask yourself, "What did the author want me to do?"

me and my partner think the anwser is to inform us....
the arthor pourpous is to inform you about that mrs.wells needs to be the winner of the contest and she likes to help kids on her spaer time and whe you ask her to come and whatch you play sports even when she has school work
its inform because its telling you about someone and what she would do for you. At the begining I thought it was persuade but as I read th story I found out it was inform I could understand if someone mistaked it for entertain or persuade though.
it is to persuade because they are persuadeing the writer to let mrs.wills WIN the contest cause she donates her time to the kids and she went to the soccer games.
I think the passage is to persuade but it also gave some facts. In the beginning she gave her opinion thats the persuasive part the facts were persuasive to so I think its mostly persuade.
We think persuade because one of ms.wells students wants her to win a contest because she does a lot for her class all the time and helps them when they need to be helped.
i infer that it is perswade because the girl said that her teacher shoud be the winner of the contest because she said her teacher is nice and she wants you to vote for Ms. wells. she also said that Ms. wells always lets her students stay in from recess. and on one day she let the class have a Colonial Day. They got to dress up like colonists she said the had a blast. I realy thank it is perswade.
Ithink Inform because it is telling you about how a teacher giving all her free time to kids who really needs it and a student who is writing a letter the edtior.
